1934.
I'm surprised they didn't adjust it for inflation!

Doh!
Yeah, you would think that would be one of the first things they go after. Maybe it isn't unintentional. I mean, people are voluntarily paying $200 to be added to a list.

Class 3 items have risen astronomically. I remember $1200 Colt 635s and $1800 Mp5 (late 80's). The last Colt 635 I saw was listed for $18,599 and I personally know of two Mp5 RR that sold for $11k and $12k.
A guy I hung out with in the 2000 time period bought his West Hurley TSMG for $3500 (I passed on it because it was $500 too high at that time). He had it for sale about 12 months ago for $10k.

I've been giving some thought on requesting that I be added to that list for a sbs.

It'll probably never happen. I've been thinking about for 6 years.

Short shotguns.... a FAVOURITE of mine, the way a 14inch 870 handles compared to a 20 just astounds me. To me the 14 does about 85% of things BETTER than the 20, especially if you are working out of a vehicle. Back in the day I mostly had a 14 inch 870 with a Speedfeed stock jammed down in the footwell of the car next to my leg, I could easily draw it up and into play, 20 was just too long. I have always preferred the standard style stock on a shotgun BUT now the new "Knox" type stocks are a thing again. That said the same 870 with a PG stock does not sit as well down next to the leg like I use to carry. The guys doing the same work as I was back then have short Knox stocked 870s on a single point bungee worn over a plate carrier with the barrel down between the legs, it works but is not as unobtrusive as it use to be....
