You can make your own suppressor but you still have to pay the 200 dollar fine and wait on the paperwork to go through.

... ..... I have to say these projectiles worked brilliantly on game of various sizes while I was overseas !!! Really happy with the choice I made on this !! My PH and I had a bit of an argument about projectiles with a bit of an "I told you so" from him while I was walking down my "wounded" buffalo... he was the bigger man when we examined the heart however... !!

Were you able to recover the projectile from the carcass, Andy?

No mate, through and through on everything (including the Cape Buffalo), both a broadside (first) and laying quartering from the rear (un-needed second shot). My PH (65 and hunting all his life in Africa) does not like solids AT ALL on anything but Elephant and our argument was that these had acted just like a solid, till he saw the heart on the buffalo and it was torn up as well as any soft or expanding projectile he had seen (his preference is Barnes or Swift). Croc, Kudu and Warthog were all one shot kills and DRT (but like the buff he insisted on follow up shots on the Kudu and Croc - totally unrequired but I understand his thinking). On the warthog (last thing shot) he was seeing the light and had accepted I could and was putting a bullet just where it was required each time smile smile wink

That's totally awesome Andy!
I shot my second 3 gun match. Came In 17th of 48 shooters. I'm happy with myself.
I also used a guys stoeger M3K and realized I need one by my next match in October!
I also have a ruger MKIII hunter waiting for me to pick up at my local shop.

Any day I'm above the grass and I'm not a zombie is a good day! JYD#138

I know you spent a lot of time and money testing those projectiles and it sounds like it all paid off. Congratulations on a great trip, Andy.

I think all of them come with some sort of letter. But having had a game warden look my fishing license over like it was possibly some sort of a fake I tend to not really trust their judgement.

Yup, but you can make a firearm without any of that nonsense. It makes no sense at all.

I wouldve just gotten a complete Radical Firearms pistol for $399 when they had them had I been thinking x39 at the time. But I'll probably go with a PSA upper since it has a 10" barrel and th price is right.

... yes, after the effort the result really made it worth it in the end !! The primer issue (causing a change from Remington to Federal at the LAST moment was a real nerve inducer let me tell you !!!!
