I don’t see how it can’t improve the group size. It is like literally a I’d guess 35-45 percent reduction.

FINALLY got my RDS in for the Springfield Hellcat in today. Man the Post office is on drugs or something.

I ordered the sight on the 11th. It shipped out of Houston TX on the 12th. On the 14th it was in St Louis and SHOULD HAVE been here the next day (15th). But NO, it went to KANSAS CITY! THEN, it went to Topeka Kansas, BACK TO Kansas City, St. Louis then down here finally delivered on the 18th. CRAZY! This is the second “firearms related” package I’ve had go halfway around the country before it got here. I think Bozo has ordered his USPS to “mess with” anything that has anything to do with firearms in any way.

Anyway, I got my Primary Arms RDS mounted directly on my Hellcat with no adapter plate needed. cool Now I’m just waiting on my Streamlight TLR-7sub (made specifically for the Hellcat) to come in so I can mount it as well. Then I’ll have a fully RDS With a white light CCW handgun. Well a second one anyway. grin

Well, since I can’t go out shopping like I used to, I buy a lot of stuff online. One item, not firearms related, I bought from New York. It was sent to Connecticut, Then to Massachusetts, then to Puerto Rico! Went back to New Jersey, Massachusetts then to me. That was the worst case that I can think of but I had another package that sat in a Post Office for 5 weeks, was declared lost and then arrived with no more notifications after 3 more weeks. Also not firearms related. So I think they are just not doing a very good job. By the way, do you have any trouble getting holsters for your gussied up, bejeweled rigs?

Nope no trouble with holsters at all. For leather this is the guy I really like. He’s out of Northern Calif, and I have two of his rigs. Really nice holsters and his prices aren’t all that bad. https://www.ttgunleather.com/

For Kydex I like:

Hey, did you look at the ones that have a holster incorporated into a 10” wide belt? That should help keep you from, shall we say, overflowing the top of the holster and blocking your draw.

For strong side carry I like, in order
Black arch (smaller overall size)
Comp-tac
JX Tactical
Werx
Vedder

I listed the Vedder holster last because the whole back of the holster is leather and depends a lot on your body helping to keep the gun in the holster. BUT overall they are quite comfortable and secure enough.

Now that I almost 100% of the time Appendix carry I Very Much prefer the TT Gunleather holsters and then the JX Tactical (Fat Guy) holster as it rides very low in the belt line. It is actually lower riding than the TTholster, but the leather is more comfortable.

A correction or addition to my above post. I bought a WERX AIWB holster from a fellow dog. It now Carrie’s my Hellcat with RDS and WML. the way I have it set up, it is the most comfortable Kydex holster I have for Appendix carry. It I DO have it outfitted with soft loops.

I bought a WERKZ holster for my Hellcat that allows holstering with the TLR-7sub WML in it. That is a nice holster. And upon his recommendation I have a Holster coming that will carry my VP9SK with a WML on it. Not many plastic benders have a holster for that setup. He has one of their holsters and says they’re pretty nice. I’ll hopefully have it late next week, I think. They said 15 working days as it is a custom order.

Now if I get an AIWB holster for my Walther PPS M2 I’ll have 3 CCW guns, but the Walther isn’t WML capable and it’s a single stack. IF (OK, WHEN) I get another Optic for my P320 I’ll have 4 CCW Pistols with optics. That one I also have a WML for.

Dogs, below is a copy of an email I sent to Springfield Armory. I was (and guess still am) very concerned.

I had an interesting and disturbing occurrence at the range today while sighting in my New RDS on my Hellcat. I was shooting Wolf Gold 124gr brass cased (ball) ammo, so there was no +P loads. On the 5th shot out of the magazine (after firing a full 50 rounds), the gun locked up. There was a live round in the chamber but the gun would not fire and the slide WOULD NOT come out of battery.

Upon inspection I noticed the recoil spring assembly (yes factory) had came out of the gun forward approximately 1/4 inch or just a bit more. I could physically push the assembly back into the gun about half that distance.

Nothing worked. The slide would not move backward, nor would the barrel move reward nor “tip down”. After pushing on the recoil assembly I was finally able to get a small screwdriver into the “loaded chamber” slot and get the slide and barrel to finally separate enough to get the barrel to tilt downward far enough that I was finally able to get the action to function normally. I hand cycled the gun approximately 20 times and The slide would rack back normally, the barrel would tilt down correctly and the trigger would finally work. I have NOT tried to fire the gun again with a live round to see if it will function normally.

Have you had any reports of this happening to other guns? I am greatly concerned as this is my CCW gun and after working in Law Enforcement for 25 years (and finally retiring) I religiously carry a gun as I know the evil that is out there.

Any information, you can give me would be very greatly appreciated. Perhaps all that is needed is a newer recoil spring assembly.

For your information I only have 200-250 rounds through this gun with only 25 being “duty” loads.
