I just took for granted that since they used the benelli/beretta choke systems that they were made there.
Benelli has two different chokes systems now. My M2 uses the Crio System, but my M1 uses the original Benelli pattern choke. They are not interchangeable. The Crio chokes are for thin wall cryogenically treated barrels only.

I do not like having to keep two sets of chokes for basically identical shotguns (from the same manufacturer).

I do not like having to keep two sets of chokes for basically identical shotguns (from the same manufacturer). That does seem kind of goofy. I remember when I had my Berretta semi (beretta copy of the Benelli, WAY back in the 90's it was a very thin walled barrel.

The Crio chokes are for thin wall cryogenically treated barrels only. My weatherby's are the mobile choke system, and they are ported. I WAS going to put a scope of somekind, a reflex in particular, but I've since changed my mind and am going to leave them be for now. I was just (In the back of my mind) bothered by something sticking up on top of a shotguns receiver. I guess I am REAL old school.

Don't you already have something sticking up on the receiver? Those open sights are enormous. That's ok as long as they work, and I assume they do or else you would've said something by now.

If I ever put a pg on my house shotgun then I would put a reflex sight on it.

Lets talk about favorite non-hunting pistol cartridges. I'm sure most here prefer 9mm or .40, but I'm a big bore guy so I like .45acp. I've even thought about buying a .50GI conversion for my Glock 21 just for grins. The only thing that is stopping me is the ammo is proprietary.

Not me. In my case the cartridge picks the gun every time.

The handgun cartridges I find useful are:
22LR - training and small game 380Acp - when you can't carry anything else (and BUG) 9mm - when you need lots of rounds 45Acp - preferred self defense option
10mm - best handgun cartridge IMHO (when loaded to real 10mm level unlike 99% of factory ammo). It shoots flat to 100yards, has the recoil of a 40SW, is ballisticaly superior to a 357 Magnum, enough velocity and power for use against 2 and 4 legged predators, is a cross over hunting round, and lastly...is available in a 15rd Glock.
