That's what I figured. What I don't understand, then, is why they cost more.

I prefer a more compact overall knife (when discussing anything 4" or less). I don't have Paul Bunyan size 600 hands so this might influence my opinion.

Knives are like screwdrivers. One size doesn't fit all. I prefer a smaller handle on a smaller blade. Some people want a Team Gemini handle on a 2 incher. Good manufacturers recognize this and offer us lots of ways to depart with our earnings.

I'm not sure if they cost any more than a coated blade. Are you looking at the secondary market prices? I believe the sellers are charging higher prices because cf is more desirable now that it isn't a regular option anymore.

I am looking at 2ndary. I've never actually looked at a CF in the store.

I know the CF TGLB's were selling for over $800 on the X. You can order a regular coated one today for $387.

I'd just buy a regular one, strip it and move on wink

Gary, I sold a CF TGLB with sheath for $290 immediately before the announcement came that CF would no longer be offered. I bought that package for about the same price from another dog here.

Adam, that was an insane deal for someone. One sold for $800 and another sold with an "asking price" of $1000. The $1000 had tequila scales though.
