Spikes makes/sells great gear, you will do well with either.

True I just haven't had the time or experince to try a ffl transfer. It's kinda intimidating for the first time

It's easy, Mike. Most gun shops will handle transfers, but if you're just transferring a stripped lower then it would probably be just as cheap to pick up a lower at your local dealer.

One would probably cost you $100 shipped and transferred. That is the maximimum it should cost you. $50 for the lower, $20 shipping, and $30 dollars for the transfer. The shipping cost is a guess, it probably costs less. I don't know what the ffl holders in your area charge for a transfer. My guy charges $20.

You could also get a Noveske Rifleworks N4 GEN3 billet lower for about $320.

Brownells has videos on what tools are needed and also how to build an AR. Try this link. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11004/learn/Section 3 also has a tool and part list in PDF format that can be printed. Midway also has the same type of vids also. I would not rely on the information on YouTube until you can tell the good from the bad. I saw many vids on YouTube that were very wrong.
