I have a bladder but I have mixed feelings about it That's kind of me as well. Never drank out of one before but with the Military going to them instead of canteens...... I don't know. I'll just have to wait and see. I still might just go with 2 40oz bottles to strap on the pack. My problem is that you sometimes set packs down I like having the water on my belt

Yeah, if I go the belt mount setup it will be 2 GI canteens with their cups. Then I have the option of the bladder and 40oz SS bottles strapped to the bag in carriers.
I actually like the belt option the best, FOR NOW, but I'll have to carry them around for a while with the pack on my back to see how it works out.

AND I also have the 2 quart GI canteen as well. so that could go on the pack as well or in place of the SS bottles. Like I said, I have a lot of options.
