Here's the 4.1 with my other key knives...it's a nice knife!

Rich - I know you're a Winkler Knives II guy, and one of the major knife dealers has an exclusive WKII Bushcrafter. Looks like a good one. If you want I can send you, or anyone else, a link.

Thanks, I've taken a gander at it. Capable knife I'm sure...wonder how thin it is behind the edge?
Love my Belt Knife!
I've blown through some serious $$ getting a few toys I've wanted recently...I'm working very hard to get myself a lower paid job right now! Lol! Trying to become a school social worker and dial down the stress level a few notches...

Stress will kill you. I hope you get the job you want.
Unless Dan hits the ball out of the park with his next release, the next fixed blade I get will be a WKII. There are two different models I'm looking at. I'm sure I'll eventually get both, I just have to decide which to get first. There's a $100 difference in price.

The Hunting Knife and the Striker. The Hunting Knife would be a more general purpose field knife for me while the Striker is more of an emergency survival knife. The Hunting Knife would have maple scales and the Striker would have rubber scales.
I'm wondering if The Hunting Knife is skeletonized. Do you know if your Belt Knife is? I assume they probably aren't since the website doesn't mention it. I should probably just email him.

I emailed him a few times on his hawks and he responded quickly.
Mine has a tapered tang- don't know if it's skeletonized.
The bush crafter doesn't do it for you?

It does, I might end up owning all three! I just don't have any use for the spike. It's not a deal breaker, I just prefer the other two.
The Striker is skeletonized, but that's because it's 3/8" thick at the pommel.

Is the striker the model with the spike on the pommel?
Exposed pommels have some appeal for me...I like it on the GSO and I like the idea of it on the SOB.

It's the one with the flat pommel for hammering.

Adam, I think I saw the advertisement you're referring to. The Winkler II knives are impressive.
As Rich knows, I'm working on a simple Bushcraft Knife comparison project. I'm going to post a simple thread after I get all the knives together, weigh them, evaluate the ergos, and conduct some light tasks with some (not all will be used).
I'll have representatives from:
Busse Combat ESEE Fallkniven Swamp Rat
I sold the Bark River so it won't be represented.
I'm working on a potential Survive! GSO to add to the evaluation mix.

I really wish I wouldn't have sold the Bravo-1 already, but alas that ship has sailed.
