This is a good set of INFI choices. I own all of these, and they are great.

The SARQ is a very good choice for a "large" survival knife. The sweetie is stupid though.

If my BATAC was coated I would keep it. Since I'm not a satin fan it's on the X. The design is bombproof though.

The LM is my favorite small Busse. I also like the Boss Street, but feel it's too butt heavy.

I hope you get that SARsquatch, Randy. Sure looks like a sweet deal.

Randy, if you have a chance to grab a Squatch I would do it!

I would unquestionably take a SARSQUATCH over any of the other Busse you listed above.

So far I have bought the following knives for my upcoming Bushcraft Knife evaluation:

Busse Combat Boss Street
Busse Combat SAR-5
ESEE ESEE-3
ESEE ESEE-4
ESEE ESEE-5
ESEE ESEE-6
Fallkniven S-1
Swamp Rat RMD
Swamp Rat Custom Shop Recurve Vex
Swamp Rat Vex

I already had the following and will be evaluating them as well:

Busse Combat ASH-1 Skinny
Swamp Rat Warden

The following have been graciously loaned (by friends here at the Yard) for evaluation:

Bark River Gunny
Ontario TAK-1
Scrap Yard Mud Mutt
Scrap Yard S5
Scrap Yard 411
Scrap Yard 311
Survive! GSO 4.1

I'm headed to WalMart tonight to look at "cheap fixed blade Gerbers" to see if I can add a "common knife" as a base line for comparison.

I'm thinking about pulling the ASH and ESEE-6 from the evaluation, because at over 6" they really are not "bushcrafters".

I am considering buying a Fallkniven F1 or H1 for the testing. However, this has become a VERY expensive project.

I have also been thinking about adding a Becker of some sort. However, again, this is just getting very expensive.

I've been thinking about this, and I think I'm going to expand the list to include a few larger than 6" to see how they perform as a bushcraft / survival "do all" and then close the entries.

Here's the final list:

Bark River Gunny
Busse Combat ASH-1 Skinny
Busse Combat Badger Attack TAC
Busse Combat Boss Street
Busse Combat SAR-5
Busse Combat SARSquatch
ESEE ESEE-3
ESEE ESEE-4
ESEE ESEE-5
ESEE ESEE-6
Fallkniven S-1
Ontario TAK-1
Scrap Yard Mud Mutt
Scrap Yard S5
Scrap Yard 411
Scrap Yard 311
Survive! GSO 4.1
Swamp Rat RMD
Swamp Rat Custom Shop Recurve Vex
Swamp Rat Vex
Swamp Rat Warden
