OK, WHAT is the difference between the BATAC and the SJTAC?

Both are identical: satin 3/16" with black and blue G10.
The SJTAC blade doesn't have much design consideration. It's just a flat blank with minimal detail design. I've had five of them, but wouldn't want another. They also typically have very thin / flat scales = not comfortable. They definitely don't look and feel like a $375-425 knife.

I think that this shot shows them just a little better. Two of Dan's blades folks like, the 711 over the S(Scrapper)6

Discontinuing the 711 while keeping the 1111 surprised me. If he's short on SR101...I'd think the three knives he should keep available would include: 411, 711, 911. The rest are really unnecessary.

I think it was because the Anniversary Ratweiler LE came along. They didn't want the 711 competing with it.

You guys see Tom's new Rodent 5 custom from the Ganza? Looks like a winner to me...nice drop point, pointy, better handle design.

Adam, could be but they're sold out of those now.
Rich, I haven't seen it yet.

I don't like the M6 Survival Rifle trigger grip on the Rodent line.

Adam, could be but they're sold out of those now. Yep, to make room for the CG Ratweiler. They should call it the shark's teeth business model. When Remington introduced the 788 model, 700 model sales suffered because the budget 788 was more accurate than (not superior to) the premium 700. Remington didn't want to become known as a budget firearm manufacturer, so the 788 was discontinued. I think maybe BKG discontinued the 711 to avoid a similar situation. I'm probably completely wrong, but it sounds good to me.
