Looks like a good set of gear too bad the chest rig doesn't have plate carriers but that is easy enough to remedy.

Yeah I liked a low profile part and it can be worn under backpack straps easily. Very easy to mount on a player carrier. I'm saving for the SKD PIG. Seems to be a very nice carrier add ar500 plates and ready to rock. Buying slowly as funds allow.

Stumbled across a M44 (maybe M38) that would save me the cost of shipping and the FFL fee. Sure is tempting...

Handled a Springfield Armory operator TRP... It was sweet! Sooo what 45acp guns do you guys run? Over the past 30 years I've had over three dozen 1911 variations, a dozen Sig P220 variations, six Glock 21/30/36, seven USP45, three HK45 CT, S&W 1917 US, Colt 1917 US, EAA Witness, Ruger P90, S&W CS45, and at least 15-20 more I can't think of at the moment. I sold my Les Baer Custom Carry and Les Baer SRP earlier this year. I seriously regret this, and will have another Baer. Currently, I have: HK45 Compact Tactical HK USP45 Springfield Armory TRP

The 45 Colts included a Ruger Vaquero, Ruger Convertible Blackhawk (2 cylinders), and a Winchester 94.
45 Colt in its factory load offerings is WEAK. However, a hand loader can really bring out its potential (as long as you're shooting them through an overbuilt gun like the Blackhawk).

The 94 was a "Trails End" model - very sexy.
I'd like to pick up a Marlin 1985 SBL in 45-70. I don't have a real need for it, but it would fuel my dream of an Alaskan adventure (what I dream of doing as a retirement present in about 99 years).
