Randy, Holding the Cha, point toward the crook of the elbow, the defender sitting in the palm of the hand, the long point should JUST cover the entire forearm. Mine are actually about a 1/2" too long. ![[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]](http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b328/theblackened14/IMAG17641.jpg) Also, in our art at least, these are the proper way to hold the Cha, to avoid any unnecessary removal of fingers. Closed (holding the Cha this way, you would use the long point to defend, as in a forearm block, and would strike with the Soveriegn, or pommel): ![[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]](http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b328/theblackened14/IMAG1765.jpg) and Open for point strikes (using the Cha this way would allow traps of bladed weapons, and a quick twist of the wrist would break or disarm the blade): ![[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]](http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b328/theblackened14/IMAG1766.jpg)

Oh man, what a morning... phone blew up. Turns out my mom is stranded because her alternator quit. I told her I suspected her alternator two weeks ago

Hopefully there is a nearby auto parts store that has one for her vehicle. It would help if she belongs to an auto club such as AAA.

yeah, she was in Monument, luckily my uncle went up and got her running. We got the alternator out (I hate hate HATE working on foriegn cars...), and are ready to put the new one back in. turns out there was a connection bolt that hooked up to a wiring harness that had broken, I guess. It was spinning freely, but not making connection properly... yep, broke. I love it when I know what I'm talking about!
