We're doing pretty well; BBQ smoked ribs earlier and she's working on some salsa now. LOTS of tomatoes to be used!

Just as long as you didn't try and beat Gary's record. I think he said they had 90 plants that lived last year. Yeah they had a lot of Maters! He said he'd never planted tomatoes before.

Oh, I just had a thought. How does the Original Tali-Whacker compare to the new one? I mean blade height, thickness, grind, weight. Do you know.

Out of the 26 plants we have, almost all are yielding nice tomatoes. The nice surprise this year are the Carolina Gold variety; the biggest and nicest yellow tomatoes we have ever had! The Sweet 100's and yellow cherry tomatoes are doing great also. My neighbor's son loves the cherry tomatoes! I like them in salads and soup myself.

Well actually it wasn't. It was a no go. Derek had one of his best friends die in a crop duster plane accident and the guy was buried last Sunday. 29 years old, left a wife, two year old son and she has one on the way. They were gonna take her to the Illinois state fair (about 3 hours away) to try and take her mind off things but she cancelled. We spent the day at church, lunch with the preacher and his wife and one of the deacons and his wife along with the retired school teacher next door.

we got home about 1700 and then they had a 5th Sunday night service in the park that started at 1830 and wasn't over until about 2030! It was nice though.

Don't know to much about the other varieties you named Tom, but I like to just pop the little ones in my mouth and start chompin!

I prefer the newer version of the Tali-Whacker; longer thinner blade. I'm carrying one of mine right now!

When we were over at the kids place Friday Ben got Grand ma in the left eye. About half her eye (the white part) is saturated with blood. So far she is doing OK but we're keeping a close watch on it. Kid's not even 7 months old yet and he's already a fighter!
