The Gen 1's are just textured on the front strap.

It's got the same square checkering on the front strap as the back one has.

I bought my tungsten guide rod as an assembly with a factory weight spring for about $50 on the big river site.

I am also going to put a set of Express sights on it. Yes, bead front and a shallow V rear. I had them on my Redhawk and loved them. And since I ripped off the rear sights one night at work I have to replace them anyway, so that is what I want and they will be steel this time not plastic.
