I THOUGHT I was getting a CAS Hanwei Waki. Come to find out it is a United Cutlery Honshu. NOT what I was expecting, but it is very close to the Hanwei one. Plus this one is has a "Blood Groove" and is flat ground from there all the way to the edge. It will Cut a sheet of 20lb (standard) typing paper and barely leave a tearing edge. It's pretty sharp and feels very well balanced. I do wish it had a fiberglass scabbard though instead of the wooden one, but it will work.

I got the Maxpedition Condor II and am very satisfied with it.

OK, here is what I said on 6/20

I've reposted this because some items have already changed and I've changed around where some of them are located. I could still put 2 USGI canteens (or 2 40oz Kleen Canteen SS bottles) in the main compartment and still have room left over.

The smaller(upper outside pocket) is where all my FAK items are located and it's pretty full what with
1. Gauze
2. OTC meds
3. cleansing pads Germ X
4. Iodine pads
5. Quik clot sponge and other assorted items.
6. 2 pair rubber surgical gloves
7. Small pair of forceps
8. Medical tape
9. Triple antibiotic cream
10. Tube of "Ora Gel"
11. Tube of "Burn Relief" cream
12. Tub of Temporary filling putty

The Outside lower compartment has
1. Bandana
2. P51 can opener
3. Fat wood
4. Small 6 inch pry bar (might be removed, it's kinda flimsy)
5. 2 pair of surgical gloves
6. 4x3/8 inch Ferro rod with hardened striker
7. 3x3/8 inch magniseum rod.
8. Aluminum capsule with PCB impregnated W/magniseum shavings.
9. SAK Tinkerer knife in the "Admin" panel
10. Two Cylume light sticks, a 30 min one and a 12 hour one
11. Lansky sharpener.
12. 5 Wetfire tender tabs.
13. Ozark Trail Headlamp (3xAAA)
14. 2 Dozen cotton balls
15. Spork
16. A "Bandana"

The main compartment is not even close to full. In it I have:
1. Two SOL All Weather "Space Blankets" with the attached hood and hand pockets so you can wrap it around you.
2. Sawyer Mini filter/purifier in the mesh pouch.
3. Mora Light my Fire knife with built in ferro rod.
4. Leather gloves
5. 275 meter 3 strand braided nylon "Thread"
6. 100 ft 550 Paracord
7. "Wind up" battery powered LED flashlight.

To the outside of the pack I have
1. strapped on one side a 711 (Thanks to a FANTASTIC DOG)!
2. Leatherman Wave
3. Shemagh

I need to figure out exactly how I want to carry water. I can always carry water on a GI Web belt for a little while If I need to. I have a setup with 2 GI qt canteens W/canteen cups and a separate 2 quart GI bottle as well.

Like I've said, it's a work in progress and included items will change depending on the time of year. I am sure I could do without some of the items, but I'll just see how things go as I lug this around some and rethink my choices over and over again.

Looks like you´ve got it all figured out. Water cleaning tablets or device, might be a good back up for emergency. But I think you`ve covered all situations.
