Thanks again for the warm welcome! Just got a confirmation email-barring some postage silliness I should have this bad boy Friday! I have a dead apricot tree that needs to come down, maybe I'll get a chance to get it to work right away.

And then I'd have to smoke something with those apricot chips... wouldn't that be terrible?!

I think the 1311 chops like an absolute demon... !!! I like the 1111 in hand and aesthetically a little more, but you just can’t get past how well the 1311 tears through stuff !!!!

The only issue I have with the 1311 (based upon where I carry it in the truck) is it's length. The 911 just works better for the place I carry it. You know, now that I think of it the 1311 MIGHT fit on the seat railings, between the seat and the tranny tunnel! And If MB would make me a baldric strap for it...... grin Might have to give this some serious thought.

Welcome!

The 1311 is a great all around chopper. I prefer it for limbing standing trees and clearing a path. If you're going to carry big then the 1311 is the one for me. Paired with a 411, like I did, you have your bases covered. I bought two of each. Everything after that just seems to stay pretty and oiled.

Welcome! I love the 1311. I use it all the time for clearing brush. I habe a DF that is a fantastic chopper. I'd love to compare to the 1111, but funds are goong elsewhere these days.
