I finally have my carbine put together. I am pretty happy with it so far and the only thing I have done is moved the flashlight forward a bit.

I looked at the overall cost and with everything on it I came in way under what it would have normally cost me to outfit it. Granted it was around a 4 year process but it was worth it.

Looking good MB, have you thought about getting a pressure switch for the light or do you run your thumb high?

I run my thumb high. It has dual switches. 520 lumen and a heck of a strobe on it.

Hey I just ordered that same mount and it's at my folks waiting for me to get it tomorrow along with some pmags. AAC blackout flashider, magpul AFG, vltor MUR, and some other odds and ends.

MB how do you like the mount and what light are you running?

The light is a Terra Lux TT-4. I got it for a song a while back. Dual switches and 520 lumen. It needed a place on a rifle.

I like the mount. The TT has way to many cool looking bands and bumps. I have probably reset the light 8-10 times before It sat level with the barrel and far enough forward for me.

I like the way it sets. It keeps the light forward of the barrel and sight and far enough offset to no interfere with the Holo sight.

It's a keeper. I was planning on getting the single set Sure fire G2 320 lumen but I just had the TT-4 as a spare in my work bag. So I save some money and its a perfect light for the setup.

My biggest concern is hitting a mirror or shiny surface and blinding myself for a bit during a search. That sucker is bright.

Yeah it sure could. I'm debating between a surefire single mode or not. I'm looking for 200 lumens or more and the new fury lights put it out!!!

I have the older LED model on a mp15-22 works well for varmints.
But I want to make sure I have enough punch. They are a good deal!

I'm thinking a g2x tactical in FG would match this rifle build nicely!
