Terrorist acts come to a Peaceful Country. The world is NOT a safe place.

This time last year, heck 6 months ago, I wasn't really all that concerned. But with the events over the last several months HAS got me concerned. Concerned enough that I will have a firearm within reach pretty much every waking hour.

Yep. And if our governments don't stop being politicly correct and relize we need a well armed citizenry as a first line of defense then we are going to let them win!

We have had 2 separate attacks on Canadian soldiers on Canadian soil in a weeks time

First the 2 soldiers hit and run in Quebec, 1 soldier was killed and 1 injured. Then we had the shooting

Terrorist attacks will not weaken the Canadian spirit and we will continue to live our lives as we see fit

The only thing that these cowardly attacks have accomplished is to strengthen our resolve

We need to get together and purge these Pukes from the earth. God rest your proud soldiers souls let's hope there sacrifice isn't in vain.

Also the fact that the Canadian Government had the courage to call it a "terrorist" attack means that there is hope! If they had called it "work place violence" well...

Text of statement from parents of Michael Zehaf Bibeau

The following is the full text of a statement issued to The Associated Press by the parents of Michael Zehaf Bibeau, the man authorities say killed a soldier at the National War Memorial, then stormed Parliament before being shot dead. The statement was in response to an AP email that asked about reports that their son was mentally unstable or otherwise vulnerable.

"Hi, I am writing this note on behalf of my husband and myself. No words can express the sadness we are feeling at this time. We are so sad that a man lost his life. He has lost everything and he leaves behind a family that must feel nothing but pain and sorrow. We send our deepest condolences to them although words seem pretty useless. We are both crying for them. We also wish to apologize for all the pain, fright and chaos he created. We have no explanation to offer. I am mad at our son, I don't understand and part of me wants to hate him at this time. You write that our son was vulnerable, we don't know, we (he) was lost and did not fit in. I his mother spoke with him last week over lunch, I had not seen him for over five years before that. So I have very little insight to offer. We don't wish to be part of any media circus, we don't think it will add anything to the conversation. Please respect our privacy although many may not feel we deserve any ... Once again we are so sorry. Susan Bibeau and Bulgasem Zehaf"

Sad thing overall. And in the same instance it makes me really angry. Dosen´t surprise me that he is a islamic convert. It seems too me (I hope that is not against the board rules) that this religion is getting out of hands. It is just too easy to be missused. Here in Germany we start having so called sharia police walking around in areas of big citys with a high percentage of muslims and !ordering! people who they think are muslims to behave as the sharia law tells it´s right. And bc of our countrys background neither the police nor the politicians are brave enough to do anything against it, they fear the reaction of other countrys and the foreign media - as if it was not our right to protect your democratic and religious freedoms in your own country!

I feel safe in saying that United States Veterans will stand with their Canadian counterparts in this WAR against cowardly Terrorists. At least THIS ONE will stand if needed.
