Sorry if it came across rude Randy, that's the meds talking. I think we OUGHT to have a discussion of mid and edc-sized blades

I'd give the 1111 a serious look. I wish I could justify getting one to try out, but I can't. It is my experience and my opinion, many will not agree with me, but I was a bit disappointed with 1111. I used 911 & 1311 before I got 1111, and must say I'd prefer 9 or 13. There was quite a lot of sock transferring into the hand when chopping and batonning 1111. It might be the thickness of the blade, as it was not a problem with 13 for me. Don't get me wrong, it chops and splits very well, but the shock makes it uncomfortable, especially when longer use is required. I have gotten used to the low shock transfer on Res-C knives and just based on that I'd give 1111 a pass if I'd known before getting one.

Oh, so THAT's why you got rid of it. And all this time I though it was because you're such a nice guy.

My 1311 and CGDF are the only big blades I have right now. I am happy with them both. I wanted a Yard 1111 for a long time but after the 1311 came out I felt no need to buy one. The Swamp's Taz Rat is my all time favorite though! The weird and Funky handle fits my hand perfectly. MM
