Interesting concept. I'm not sure when it would apply. Its designed to reopen the wound later. I guess I am ahving a hard time placing it in my TCCC guidelines.

I would guess it's for VERY deep wounds that have been packed. This would allow for reopening at a trauma center.

I'm a caveman. Pressure Bandage, Tourniquet, Chest seal and a nasopharingial tube is my go to stuff. That takes care of 80% of what kills.

It looks interesting though. Just above my skill set.
