Got the Custom Mini Barrage in. I'm not sure how well I like it. Not a thing wrong with it after a little work, but I like the full sized barrage a whole lot more.

It isn't as smooth as the full size custom barrage that I got was. It came packed in oil and I'm guessing that was because they knew the safety was sticky.

I got it smoothed out but this definitely wasn't the quality I'm used to from Benchmade.

I will give it a try but It may only see a limited rotation.

It's pretty light and a tad small for my hand. It's more suited as a pocket knife than a pocket clip knife IMHO. It is light enough that it feels cheap even though it is not.

The full size Barrage is comfortable has enough heft that it feels like a big knife. I describe the Barrage as a little big knife.

I like the full size more than I ever thought I would and the Mini far less than I thought I would. If the mini was a tad bigger I think it would be great. For some people I suspect it is an outstanding blade.

I am going to carry it this week and see if it grows on me.

I've had a tough time with the sizes of some benchmades...especially the mid-size and smaller ones.

Is it my imagination or are the secondary prices coming down on the Hinderers?

It seems like it, I think that's a good thing because there are a few other blade shapes I would like to have. The reason for the drop being all the variants coming out lately I think. I don't know if it will be a permanent lowering though.

Thats a fine looking blade MB its too bad you don't enjoy it as much as you thought you would. I hope it grows on you or you could put it in a frame in your man cave.

I can answer the Hinderer question. It's supply and demand economics. While back, they all were more difficult to acquire and prices reflected that fact.

The rare stuff is still expensive...customs get what the market is willing to pay as do some accessories esp. handle scales.

The fewer of any model, the higher the ask.

Gun dog. I pay about 50% less than retail for them. I am part of a discount program and I have several discount codes for 30% off of that price.

The custom Mini starts at around $155 depending on what balde material you choose. They have 4 different knives you can choose scale color, liners, screws clips and backspacers on. Plus you can add graphics etc.

The Barrage is just a tiny bit more.
