Ok I got this knife for 3 reasons.
1 I was interested in the Emerson knifes and wave feature.
2 It is approximately the size of the Hinderer XM-18 3inch which I have been trying to decide if I would like or not.
3 It was cheap.
For a 40 dollar retail knife it is well made and the only real fault I can find on it is the word China on the blade, of course that is why it is only 30 dollars street price.
It was very stiff out of the box (actually clam shell) but broke in quickly and now is pretty smooth.
The blade is centered pretty well, not perfect but good enough.
The G10 scale is just grippy enough for an EDC blade and the feel and machining are exceptional on this one.
The stainless lock bar side is well machined as well and locks up about 1/3 in, just perfect for my tastes.
The pocket clip is well designed and just tight enough to provide positive attachment without hindering deployment.
The blade steel is not marked on the blade which I don't like but is a reasonable inexpensive EDC steel (8Cr13MoV) doesn't hold a candle to any of the super steels as far as edge retention but touches up so easy it is forgivable.
The wave feature is more enjoyable and handy than I was expecting and if I do get a real Emerson it will have this feature, my only issue with it is I have been carrying tip down for so long that I find myself trying to repocket the knife upside down 90 percent of the time.
In conclusion I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap EDC knife or someone who isn't sure about the size and or wave feature. I plan on keeping it for a beater folder and it has assured me that the XM-18 3 inch isn't to small and I will be ordering one as soon as I can get the funds up.
