![[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]](http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b328/theblackened14/XDmKimber.jpg) My Mom just joined the ranks of Proud Gun Owners today! Her XDm below my Kimber. I also picked up some custom grips from VZ grips and recieved them today. They're mounted on the 1911 in the photo. Sadly, since we live in Kolorado, she wasn't able to get a full size, so the Compact is going to have to do for her first pistol. hopefully it won't prove too much to handle for her (she's 58 and her hands don't work too well most days.) We shall see soon though!

my 45/70 handi rifle is complete. this thing just keeps getting stupid better. i just added the nikon 3-9x40 with bdc reticle. whats amazing is that i somehow managed to have less than $200 in the whole setup. the funny thing is that i never actually intended to have this particular setup. it just all worked itself out over a 2 year period of lucky happenings. and everything was brand spanking new when i purchased it! ![[Linked Image from i774.photobucket.com]](http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy22/izal_601/7409db8c7ca786c16f620f08c3a6080f.jpg) i may upgrade the rings to warne rings but unless i find some for less than $20 it will mess up my less than $200 claim. i wouldn't want to over spend lol...

Governer Hickeypooper shoved legislation down our throats last year. still haven't seen it repealed, and unfortunately that tool got reelected... But, he was apologizing to the Sheriffs about it, and he knows its not working, so it might be on its way out. he's a Dem, I won't keep my fingers crossed...

I'm trying to locate some Xtensions for the baseplate so she has a bit more purchase. My grip on that pistol is only a three finger grip, and even though it's only a 9 mm, and she's not shooting +P, there is still the possibility it might be more than she can handle recoil wise. I'll have to find out when we get her to the range with it.

Nice work Lazi, glad it didn't cost too much. Now you have more money for SYKCO steel!

Yep the person I know likes the grip extensions on her xds9 mags. Be warned there was some chambering issues with hornady critical defense/duty. The sharper edge of the hollow point wanted to catch on the feed ramp.

That's what we picked up a couple boxes of. Won't know until we get it to the range and run the Self defense loads. hopefully it works. if not, though, it's on to the next type until I find her a load that shoots reliably. I don't think the pistol will need to be broken in though, my old XD ran like a greyhound out of the box with nary a bobble.
