I think I understand why you feel bad, but you should feel proud that they care that much for you. Many times those that we care for most can and do hurt us the most without meaning to. I do feel proud,

I think that one way "Religious" folks go wrong, turn off people is that they say "IF they do this or don't do that they are going to burn in Hell".
Personally I think this is wrong. YES it is true, you can get an IDEA of how a persons soul is by their actions, but the TRUE FACT is that even if some is a mass murderer, we CAN NOT know the true condition of their soul. They may have for some reason gone wrong temporarily but OVERALL they do believe. And once again I may be confusing the matter.

Yeah, THAT is one of the things I really like about being here. We can discuss, talk, what ever you want to call it AND have a differing opinion and no one gets mad or thinks the other is trying to disrespect them.

When I was in grade 12 an old Catholic priest was invited to speak to our history classIt was to give a different perspective on the Age of Reformation

That is where I first started learning about how the church viewed the worth of our soul

I guess you could say I've been "In Church" all my life, kinda sorta. Yes I WAS out of it for the majority (time wise) of my life but I was still a believer. I'm just glad the "Grand Design" allowed me time to once again get back into church. This is of course based on my belief. And as the saying goes "Your Mileage May Vary".

Sometimes it comes from pride Sometimes I think it comes from caring Sometimes they come on too strong because they really care about your soul I can forgive them for that

Yes, but Caring MUST be tempered. Many times "Zealots" can turn people off faster than you can turn off a faucet.
