Kerosene = fire Propane = explosion In his mind He could always get a long hose and leave a bigger bottle outside? Personally I would rather have the propane than the Kerosene.

Derek (the stepson) bought a 100lb bottle that he put outside. He then got a 15 foot hose and ran it inside the house. They have a gas burning fireplace in the basement that was never hooked up by the previous owner. It worked really well for what it was.

I was nearly killed by a kerosene heater in the early 1990's It was one of those old Coleman camping heaters

I THINK that propane burns a lot better/more efficient without the dangers of kerosene.

No With properly maintained equipment they are about the same The thing is to ensure that what you are using is designed and certified for indoor use And you need to allow fresh air into the area

And lot of people died from those old furnaces malfunctioning
When the kerosene heater malfunctioned we were lucky that we were all awake Even so it wasn't until Corey opened the trailer door to take a leak that it hit us All three of us were on the ground vomiting seconds after the fresh air hit us

It's a shame that the remaining family is fighting because of this tragedy. They SHOULD be trying to con soul each other.
