Well I THINK I could move it, but I've never done that before and might loose it. May have to do some experimenting with a bogus thread/post.

PERSONALLY I don't think that the wave feature is a good fit for all his folders. For SD knives yeah they are a GREAT addition. For like say the cqc7 and others that I consider work knives I think thy just get in the way. Yes this is just my opinion, but take the Fixed karambit for example. It has the Wave feature and to me it is totally useless and is there only to make it look like the two folders and serves no purpose. According to Ernie the "wave" originally was a blade catch for an opponent's knife in knife fighting scenarios. He claims Frog Men in Coronado got ahold of some of his folders and while using them noticed the blade catch/wave would catch on a pocket and open the blade. The rest is what it is. And so is that story. For me, I find it a bit dangerous to pull a knife behind you with force/speed as you pull it from a pocket. So, mine is set up to deploy as it comes out in front of me from the front of a pocket. But it's a Super K if that helps understanding.

N2K, I have mine set up to deploy using the ring finger. The wave faces the front and as I put my ring finger in the hole I tilt the blade toward the outside and it deploys edge forward in the reverse/icepick or traditional hold for a K-bit.

R, I was talking about the wave deployment as shown by the maker in many a video. Kind of a potential hazard to things behind. Just pause one of the videos or watch closely and see the potential for...
Looks that you and I both see the concern and we put a bit of thought in what we do / how we do it. Right on!

There's always the turn the knife to catch the wave before removing method. But add stress and whatnot and multipe steps to get the job done can add unnecessary confusion. Just sayin.

YUP, I have flubbed several Practice draws. BUT I prefer to open with the edge forward/conventional k-bit grip. I have also been known to carry it in the front edge of my pocket If I think the situation is questionable.

I find myself wanting an Emerson Mach 1 folder. YUP, that's right, can't find one. Always at least 6 months late and about $201.13 cents short.

That's a good looking knife Randy! Might be one on Arizona Custom Knife...
You feeling like the SpecWar was worth it! I keep eyeing it, the 10 and the 13 is starting to look good too!
