Well besides Bill that is. smile

I wondered about the blade length.

I am plugging away...bunch of interviews...nothing to really get excited about. The application I'm most interested in is actually the Air Force as a civie Social Worker. They are hiring nationwide and there's a small group in CT where at least on paper it says they want one! We'll see.

If this winter is like last winter- might not be a Northerner a lot longer! Can't handle the cold/snow anymore I guess! sick

Greaser, thanks for review.

In my limited experience with Emersons I'd guess that the Kershaw/Emerson collaboration folders, even thought they're cheap, F&F of them would be better than on Emersoms. I got 2, fairly recent manufacture '11 and '12, and was really disappointed with F&F.
Scales and liners were not aligned, the back spacer was sticking out, and the locks of both were barely engaging.
I put in some time and fixed what I could and they function properly now, but in my eyes the're not worth the price.

Recently I got my hands on CRK Umnumzaan, and that is a great knife, F&F is nearly perfect. I'ts on a larger size, might look for a small Szbenza in the future for more EDC size, but it's light and pocketable.

I thoroughly LOVE my Umnumzaan! And I think the my small Sebie is the best edc pocket knife out there.

If you don't like emersons that much I THOROUGHLY recommend the CR knives.

How about the starbenza I really like Wilson combat and I think I would really enjoy that one because of the collaboration.

It's not that I don't like Emersons that much, I was just disappointed that knives made by such well known American company, out of the box, are looking worse than the $20 Chinese 'knives'.
I guess they fell victim to their own popularity, with increase in quantity produced quality has dropped a lot.

I posted in the folder thread that I'm a recent Emerson fan. I got three recent ones and the fit and finish have been good. I've been very happy with them and will get more.

Looking back, I could live without the wave on my cqc 7a though.

PERSONALLY I don't think that the wave feature is a good fit for all his folders. For SD knives yeah they are a GREAT addition. For like say the cqc7 and others that I consider work knives I think thy just get in the way. Yes this is just my opinion, but take the Fixed karambit for example. It has the Wave feature and to me it is totally useless and is there only to make it look like the two folders and serves no purpose.

Shouldn't all this "folder" chat be in the folder thread?

Ok PK please delete this off topic thread I'll post it on the colder thread at a later date. I thought with no dogs to talk about it would drum up some conversations, that was my intention not to insult or disrupt.
