GD, Yes, I have considered it. Still, I'd like something that offers an improvement over the standard AR, either size wise, or weight wise. ARs are great weapons, don't get me wrong, and all of the myriad adaptations are great, but I won't do DI because I hate cleaning up after something that vomits into its own mouth, and piston would be fine, but (and this is where it's hard to explain), I just don't want an AR or otherwise. I want something different, that's not a Tavor (didn't like the handling), FS2000 (iron sights SUUUUUUUCK), AUG (UGLY, and in the end, I have to look at it...), or an AK bullpup conversion (zilch ambi capacity). I have two AKs in a traditional rifle configuration. It's time for something different, ya know? and I've got so many AR mags laying around, it'd be a shame to not have something to feed with them. Military Arms Channel just reminded me about the MDR by Desert Tactical Arms as well, but MAN talk about pricey... might be worth it though, as it offers decent ambidextrous capability. I know I know, I'm being picky... but look at my choice in Knives

I've handled the ARX before, and even shot it. I didn't like the feel of the weapon, unfortunately. I will take the ACR back into consideration, as well as the SCAR. So many options, not enough money...

LOL, I was goofing with a Tavor the other day. Not my thing. Way heavy for what it is. I tend to run lighter AR's. I can't stand a whole bunch of crap hanging off a gun.
I go simple. A red dot and a light on a lightweight forearm.

The israelis have this weird way of holding the Tavor, something about 5 points of contact with the weapon and such. Funny thing is, My bulky American frame can't do it at all, I just don't bend that way..

The guy that owns it loves it. Its a functional weapon. If that's all I had I'm sure it would be just fine.

Yeah, I agree. My friend made fun of me for firing his Tavor "Like an American", C clamp grip, support arm extended, lol

Tavors are pretty popular up here, partly due to our goofy laws A Tavor is non-restricted so it can be carried just about anywhere, while the AR15 is restricted and can only be shot at approved ranges
