A single stack 45 is a great option
A friend has a Sig 225 (I think) it is a single stack 9mm Sig
Nice gun, but now prohibited
He is grandfathered I have that same handgun and LOVE IT! Personally I think Sig made a mistake in discontinuing that gun.

If I could I think a single stack 9mm or 45 would be my ccw, and either a Glock 10 mm or 44 revolver for wilderness protection

The P225 WAS my favorite carry gun before I got my XDs. But I really like a .45, hence the XDs.

The 10mm or 44 would be great for "Walkabout". And Yeah, you can argue all day long about 9mm Vs 45 for CCW. But in reality either one will "Get er done".

I have a 44 lever action already but I do like my brothers Glock

Never shot a 10mm, only 44Mag. Both Ruger Redhawk (that I got rid of  ) and Super blackhawk My dad had many years ago. I didn't find either one really bad although the Redhawk seemed to recoil more due to the grip style.

If it is single action (peacemaker grip style) it's the Super blackhawk. If it's a double action it will be the redhawk.
