She Might want to use the .410. Our house isn't all that big. Loaded with 00 buck or slugs I think it would work out fine for the house, plus it's shorter than the Weatherby's mossberg used to market a 410 for home defense

I've been thinking of getting one for a snake gun. You get a lot of snakes in your area

I've seen several and actually handled two of them. One of our Deacons got one for a house gun. He got a box of 00 buck and 45LC for it.

I think that it would have to be a really good deal for me to get one of them. But they would be a good "Woods" gun. Fill it with shot and have some 45LC rounds in reserve.

My favorite course has a creek running through the middle of it, and several ponds. LOTS of copperheads around there, and a few timber rattlers as well.

Got quite a few good reviews loaded with the right ammo.
