But I can´t see a real reason to buy the Basic 8 besides that it is the Basic 8...
I even sold my 911 since I would use my 1111 as the new chopper.
The B 11 would be tempting, but what to use the B 8 for?

It's effectively a camp knife / pack knife. Better performance / weight ratio. It's not a primary chopper. It's not a primary detail knife.
However, pair it with a solid folder and you have the making of a serious kit.
