I wanted one in .45acp, but ammo capacity kept me away. 8 rounds for the 45.

Hickock45 has a good review on YouTube. I was impressed when he field stripped it, looks well built.
I like pistol caliber carbines though...fun, fun fun!
Add: nice to see the prices on the Storm come down too...couple years ago seemed like they were all $800-$900.

I just sent an EMT to a guy for a used Rossi Ranch hand in 44 magnum If I like it then I will probably put a full stock on it and use it for a hiking/quad gun

Ah a Mares Leg! NICE. Once I get it sorted out It will be my sasquatch gun

If it wasn't for the stupid stamp I would do a .357 ranch hand sbr. That would be a great little deer rifle in the swamps where I hunt. But instead I just picked up a second Handi Rifle in .357 and I'll probably cut the barrel down to 18" . While it's not as cool as the sbr would be I think it will be just as effective.

What do Y'all think of the Beretta CX4 9mm Carbine? Saw one at Wally world and was kinda impressed. The prices went crazy on those things a while back. I thin it $899 but now they are under $600. The only reason I'd get te .45 is if it shared mags with something else I own. A Hi Point is around $250 and seems to be very similar feature wise. Otherwise there's the MPA Mac10/11 clones that will use hicap mags. I have done a hadful of searches on semi auto pistol caliber carbines and I just haven't seen anything that makes me think one is league's better than the others. I do wish I had gotten a Vector Arms MP5 clone back when they were a lot cheaper. But my KelTec serves me just fine as a bullet hose so I can't say I'm missing anything.

Be careful guys, if you put the Mares Leg stub to your shoulder, you've remanufactured it as an SBR, and the ATF will kick down your door and eat you...

Talked to our Hometown Gun shop Thursday. IF he's got it right, I can trade in one of my pistols and get that Beretta CX4 for an additional 200-250. I'm really giving it serious consideration.

That CX4 looks like a well-made piece. Also, seems to be fun to use.

Here in Canada it is classified as a non-restricted firearm (rifle to you you guys) Perfectly legal to slap a full stock on it and go hunting or hiking

Up here .357 mag is about half as expensive to shoot as 44 mag If I could have found a 357 I probably would have bought that instead of the 44 mag on the plus side I already have a Marlin 1894 in 44 mag And I must confess, I bought a leather holster for it as well

OK, went to the gun show today. Didn't find anything I wanted. Or at least nothing that fit my criteria.
  1. Pistol caliber carbine. 2. Light weight 3. Short over all length 4. High cap mags 5. Easily accessorized

SO back to my original plan. Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm carbine. My old Sig P220 (that I bought in 1997) plus $250.00. I can deal with that.
Now for ammo. I am thinking about Remington Golden Sabre 124gr +P
  500 rounds for I think 229.
  The bonded core is 270.
