OP Massive Metal Junk Yard Dog M Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 2,172 California	I edc Spyderco folders, but my most used fixed blade are my SYKCO 1311 and Swamp Rat HRLM. They mainly get used for yard work. Limb chopping, root digging upping and other tasks that involves chopping stuff up. Although the RMD is more popular than the HRLM the HRLM feels more stout and durable for some reason. Therefore the HRLM is always used when I need to puncture and split stuff. My CGDF used to be my favorite yard work blade but my 1311 is used waaaaaaaaaaay more than any other big knife I have. I make excuses to use it even when another tool might be better for the job. My Taz Rat is my favorite fixed blade of them all but I must admit my 1311 @ 3/16" is getting more weekly use than the Taz Rat. The Taz is taken on camping trips...but its been awhile, the 1311 is in constant use. MM Last edited by Massive Metal; 03/25/15 08:13 PM.

Around the house either an RMD, 511 or HRLM (love that knife !!!) is most likley to get grabbed to do a job. The Rats also get a good bit of time in the bush as well. I have a Custom Shop drop point R6 that i am going to take bush next week. I am warming to it !!

The 1311 would work better the the 911 fits perfectly between the seat mounts and the transmission tunnel. I am thinking about maybe carrying my Swamp Rat with the Bill Piatt slabs (THANKS DT) on my belt all the time. It will take a little gettin used to for me though.
