Good to hear from you Gary!

Well, the Ed Brown was a big disappointment. It wouldn't reliably cycle. Ed Brown's solution was to sell me replacement magazines and recoil springs. With $100 worth of replacement parts in my $2,800 handgun (and it still not going one mag without 2 stoppages) I called it quits.

I'm totally out of the 1911 game now. No Les Baers (even though they always worked) or Ed Browns. I'm an all Glock and HK guy again (for serious work anyway).

I love my 511MO. It is my little big knife.

I'd be interested in reading about your revamp process, if you feel like posting about it.

Its a pretty complicated ordeal. It is unlikely that I'll post about it. It would, however, be an interesting topic.

My major compliant about Busse Combat is the oversized handles. I agree that the "basic" Scrapyard handle is too small. The mudder is securely textured, but the angle makes me feel cramped. The Reg handle was HUGE but comfortable.

DON'T DO IT.

Love that knife.
