When I was 10(?) I got four stiches on the tip of my thumb after a mis-hap with a hachet, aahhhh the memories.

When I smashed my face on lava rock in Hawaii I refused the Lydocain and had 130+ stitches without it. I never hurt at all, needle felt funny pulling the skin and all.
Ummm....I'm going to go put on one of my wife's dresses now. I got a nasty cut last weekend (RD 7 jumped up and bit me). I taped it up and went on, not because I'm particularly tough, I'm just scared to death of needles!!! You Sir Ted are officically THE MAN!!!

I'm not that tough either, it's just that Lydocain shots hurt me MORE than the stitching procedure does. Well, actually the stitches don't hurt me, the Lydocain shot does.

Nice wound brother. Hopefully it heals well, and doesn't heart too much in the morning.

At least you didn't lop it off.

Always gotta be optimistic...

How was dinner?

Ouch!!!!!!
It's handy to have an RN around. Heal quick.

It's a good thing you didn't have three drinks

Good thing you had a RN handy. I have it when I have to try to stitch myself!

Ya the Lydocaine hurt worse than anything! A little more than super glue could take care of for me this time. The reason I went with the Lydocaine this time was my mom was doing the stitches, remember she is a nurse not a doctor, she gives shots and pills, the doctors do all of the sewing around here. all in all its not too bad a little stiff but I dont think it was the 1.5 drinks, just a slip on the ceramic sticks.

PS dinner was great, an hour later!
