Greetings from exercise Talisman Sabre 2015 in the Northern Territory, Australia.

Request below, what's in it for you now. A new video series featuring experts in a wide array of specialties will share firsthand knowledge on how to put lead on target from 1,000+ yards, how to dynamically enter a door (i.e. blow it down) and a wide range of other cool things to do in your free time. wink

I am leading a new social media campaign for III Marine Expeditionary Force of which I am the public affairs chief. We launched our Facebook page and new "How To" series a few days ago. We are in need of an audience. If you are a Facebook user, please like our page and invite your friends to it. III MEF Marines

Here is the first How To video for your viewing pleasure. https://www.facebook.com/IIIMEF/videos/vb.1678662872367692/1683683178532328/?type=2&theater

Thank you for your time.

It is nice and cool there now mate, no matter, anywhere north of Elliot you can be safe to assume there will be Estuarine Crocodiles (that includes Darwin Harbour)in the water. I have seen Western Brown snakes slithering around Alice Springs in a frost so in Darwin where it is still warm there is NO off season. Then there are the locals to avoid as well !!!!!

The locals seem pretty nice. I got my rental Land Cruiser stuck in the sand at Dundee Beach. About ten minutes later a man in cut-off jeans, a frayed shirt and a pot belly hanging out walked out of the brush with a pressure gauge and told me to bring the tire pressure down to 10 lbs. After explaining that I had thought of that, but I need to make a two hour road trip back to base, he returned with a portable air pump.

His name is Jeff. I forgot his last name, but he will always be Jeff Dundee in my memory.

My door lock broke once and locked me out of my place. It took until the next day for somebody to come fix it. Next time maybe I'll just run to Wal-Mart and grab some of that stuff they us and then call up a couple friends. Now that I know how to do it... grin

...... those kinds locals are fine mate.... once you have had a few of the otehr chasing you down the road with machetes and an old 12ga you will get my meaning .... wink

Nice spot mate, and there are many many stories up there about visitors stuck with fully inflated tyres... hence the available pump .. wink

I know I wasn't a Marine, but the Air Force would have just walked around the plywood door. Wasn't much of a building to begin with, but it looked like it had some great air conditioning.
