I've been tempted by those too. They go on sale every once in awhile at my local Cabelas. Be be to have a lever action and nice to have something capable of shooting .22 shorts and such...

That is my plan exactly DT, in my opinion a trust is the only way to go.
I just got my bumpfire systems stock in the other day I haven't played with it yet but I figured it would be a fun toy that could have a use in the future.
Dang. Wish I'd have known you were looking. After using mine, I realized I'm never gonna get proficient enough with it to use in a real life situation. Translation: I just don't get out to the range enough  No problem DT it was on sale for 99 dollars and was an impulse buy. Not sure if I will get super proficient with it but if the witch wins it may be a heck of an investment. GD they are made in the US out of US materials and they hold their value. I would get it if it were me and I lived somewhere that I could find ammo for a reasonable price.

Ammo for a reasonable price? What's that? Lol got over 5,000rd in storage and a couple hundred in the plinking fun fund my S&W m&p15-22 doesn't like the lead round nose I can find regularly now.

Lol well 50 Remington golden are going for 15 bucks a box up here. Ill pass on the 22 then my two 17 cal rifles are more fun and actually sell for less! WTH? I sold my 22lr and the rifle that went with it.

Nice! The 17 is a good round--much longer, flatter range than a 22lr.
