Is anyone else tired of the "two week B.S." we keep hearing? I think we hold ourselves to a little higher standard that at Busse's B/F site, and I feel that we deserve straight, honest answers to our questions. While some folks might consider being told "two weeks" fun, I feel that it is a slap in the face to Customers who remain loyal and spend their money with the Company. What Jerry does at Busse Combat is His business, but we were told that Dan is totally in charge of Scrap yard. Dan, WE are Scrap Yard! We ARE different form B/C, and expect to be treated the same way as you would expect us to treat you.

I had high hopes after I spoke with Dan, but apparently it was for naught. When Chris and I spoke with Jerry at Blade concerning the dwindling participation at Scrap Yard, Jerry said that once a knife is released everyone will be back. Not only is this insulting to the Dogs, but he was obviously WRONG!
I have been a strong supporter of Scrap Yard and proud to be JYD #1; if I am suddenly banned or disappear from the forum then I guess everyone will know why. I only want the Yard...and Dan... to be what they once were!

Well said Klink.
As I said in a previous post there are plenty of other knife makers out there that make a great product for a fair price that would be thrilled to take our money. I've already found two of them that I really like and I'm about to try a third one.
Hopefully this is not the death knell of the Yard.

If Busse Combat releases an Active Duty that looks like a Swamp Rat knife and is made of steel that Swamp Rat uses for their knives, I wonder what will SYKCO release?

I DO sort of find it troubling that Busse Combat is now making knives in SR101, but also am glad. I was able to squeeze an ASH1 (Black Canvas and Desert Sage) into our now limited budget. I would LIKE to have an AD, but just can't swing it now unless I swapped my Boss Street for one. We are now paying for the MIL a cell phone since her other daughter took the one she had bought for her away.
It may be they are streamlining their "Group" and Swamp Rat will be a thing of the past. HOPEFULLY Dan can keep the Yard a viable company offering a lower priced version of blades that we all want, but I as well find it disturbing that Dan hasn't been keeping us in the loop. WE ARE the reason he can sell knives and hopefully enough of us, and new buyers as well will continue to come to this really good knife company.

Well said SkunkHunter. But I have witnessed companies that fall on hard times, cut staff, combine facilities, streamline manufacturing, and keep all the brands and products that sell and turn a profit.
Unless Scrapyard has a business model that loses money, there is no reason to eliminate the brand, the product or even the website.
Something must be going on but I can't even guess what it is. If it takes a year to come to market, then say so. I don't like to keep hoping that the release will pop up on the site every time that I log in. And that is what I find to be truly frustrating.

GREAT POST adnj! That was what I was trying to say but in my sleep deprived state didn't say it the way I wanted.
