Randy is correct; it is Tyger 75's JYD number. He was indeed a Canadian soldier who loved the Scrap Yard. I sold him a YardKeeper LE for cost and threw in a sheath for it; he was VERY happy and appreciative. He sent me some knife lanyards as a "thank you". We exchanged Christmas cards and PM's.

I was saddened to receive a letter from his sister telling me about Patrick dying in a house explosion (gas leak). It destroyed his home and neighbors' as well. I posted it here in the Yard, and Dan Busse contacted me about making a special tribute knife to send to his family. Because I was the original contact person, Dan sent the knife to me to send on to his sister and family. I also included all but one of the lanyards Pat had sent to me, feeling that they would have special meaning to the family. I was honored to do so, and I still have the letter of gratitude from Pat's sister. I forwarded a copy of it to Dan Busse.

So yes, you DO have a special JYD numbered coin! wink

I felt certain that I would find out who the original owner was. Thanks for that information, guys. I feel honored to have this coin.

A very touching story. He sounds as if he was a great guy that left us too soon. Thank you, PK and SH.

I have read that it was a limited edition of 300 coins.

I don't think anyone really knows for sure (outside of the compound).

I read 300 as well, back when they were in the store originally.

My last YARD blade was my S6. As I was checking my knife list to be able to answer this question I decided I would just see how may Kin Blades I have from each Company. So here we go.

Scarpyard = 14
Busse = 05
Swamprat = 03

Not the largest collection, but I like what I have. Speaking of, We only have a half ton pickup so I couldn't even haul all Tom's collection! smile wink

Heck I heard that he had to build a new house just to have some place to keep his Knives! wink
