Ick if I never see another it will be too soon. LOL an engineer's best friend and worst enemy all wrapped into one.


On a side note I just watch american sniper and it messed me up, I forget how bad it was over there sometimes but I have been having a hard time with normal people since my divorce and am starting to realize just how off I am.

Many of us have been there Brother, you WILL get over it and be OK.

I know PK that's why I felt I could post it here I am just feeling off with all this alone time. No self harm planed or ever thought of just realizing I don't do well with people LOL of course that could just be the way I am.

Believe me, I know EXACTLY how you feel. Although it has been over thirty years for me, I still remember the "lone times", particularly around the Holidays. But I DID survive, and things eventually got a LOT better! You will too.

The Holidays is a good time to spend with whatever family you have, or good friends. In 2004 I had two buddies from VietNam spend a week with us at Christmas; both were single and from both coasts. Even though we had not seen each other since 1970 it was still a great time, and they enjoyed it as much as I did. If nothing else, try connecting with some fellow servicemen with whom you served.

It can be rough. I am fairly antisocial these days as well. Its hard to relate to "normal" folks when you are from different worlds.

I am sure my dark sense of humor and constant vigilance is off-putting to the uninitiated.

All the more reason to connect with fellow Veterans. They KNOW what you have been through, and are going through now.

I think a yard meetup is in order sooner than later but I know that can be hard for many of us.
