Talking about Amazon got me thinking. Back in the early part of September I ordered a couple of magnetic magazine carriers from Tactical Taylor. I was told about a week after ordering they were on back order and didn't think about them again until about the middle of November. I sent them an email and they apologized and said the marpat was not being made any more, so I said black or OD would work. Three days after that they told me they went back to their supplier and had two double mag pouches made for me and they would ship them an pay me back for the shipping cost! AND, this was all after getting them for a 40% discount to start with. I am happy. They Work, GREAT!

Nice to hear that! We had a nice experience with two different WalMarts, and I'm going to send a nice note to the Corporate Office about a few of their employees.

After the MIL fell for the second time last week, and layed in the floor for at least 2-3 hours we took her to the ER. We told the Dr there what was going on and about her NOT being able to care for herself, physically AND mentally and that non of the kids could provide 24 hour care (what we had been told before she needed). Well he did a lot of testing and couldn't find any reason to admit her but told us (IF we wanted) he would give Social Services a call. Well to make a long story short, they got her (and she agreed) into the nursing home.

No one really wanted to put her there, but with Patty being disabled and unable to lift her and the other two kids working, there wasn't any choice. At least this way there will be someone to watch her and make sure she is eating right and ensuring she gets proper hygiene.

I talked to his Supervisor and told them we thought he went well beyond what was expected and that because of his efforts she would be able to start getting the care she needs.

Sometimes that is the best option.

Yeah, we know it is, but it's still a hard pill to swallow. BUT like I said at least now she will be able to get the care she needs. Patty was talking to her on the phone Friday and she didn't even know it was Patty.

Things seem to work out best in the long run.

Man, it's supposed to reach 57 degrees tomorrow; not bad for December!

We sure hope so.
