I just never really been an xd guy. Just don't point right for me. And I've seen them malfunction a lot at 3 gun matches. Not saying that they are all bad because I've seen some Glocks go down to.

I'm with GD on this.

I've owned several XD, and didn't care for their ergo or performance. I've seen them fail, one rather spectacularily, too.

I've fired and watched fired more rounds from Glocks than all other designed combined. Outside of an occasional failure to lock open on the last round (high thumb hold), and problems associated with limp wristing the only major problem I've witnessed was a broken frame rail. It was on an instructor's Glock 21 with 65,000rds of +P ammo. (LE Trainer = free ammo of choice).

That gun would still work, BTW...

If Glock would reshape their grip or completely re-contour it to something like the HK P30 we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Fact is, I highly doubt their has been a more proven gun in history. Think about the number in civilian, LE, and military hands.

Cant argue with glock reliability, I have thought about building a gen 3 with a custom contoured frame a few times. I have had no failures with my xd45 running 230rn and 185hp but I only have around 400 rounds through it.

I stopped by Walmart to check on 38 and 357 ammo prices. It looks like I'll be ordering ammo for the 65 online!

Thanks. I just wish it were a 6 shot, but then it wouldn't be as small as it is.
