The ammo and rifles (ak74) are up here but no ak107s with the antirecoil setup.

Yes it is a nasty little round but then again the 5.56 can be as well.

5.45 ammo has dried up a little. All I see in quantity is Wolf type - the real stuff is getting rare.
I'd stick with 5.56x45.

I was sort of leaning towards a tactical version of a Mini-30 before I bought my Arsenal. At the time I still had the M1A and was liking the similarities. But I figured for an extra $200 I could get the pistol grip, cheaper easier to find 30 round mags, and AK reputation. So I went with the AK.
If I already had a Mini-30 I doubt I'd care about a getting a AK other than just to have one around. The Mini-30 could probably stand a few enhancements to make it more in line with the "tactical" stuff but if it's a reliable firearm I'd run with it. Maybe a Ultimak rail or something like the Archangel chasis would be cool add ons. I always liked the A-team looking folding stocks. But having held a few Minis I liked the package pretty much how it is. And I am a fan of 20 round mags so that's a plus to me. I'm actually hoping Magpul makes their new AK mags as 20 rounders as I would buy a bunch of them.

So, Obama wants to sign another executive order for gun control. To celebrate I bought another AK.

I shot my AR with the JP captured recoil system. Put the heavy spring in and it ran great with .223 in 55gr and 75gr
