We got a work out today. Patty was talking to the retired school teacher and she mentioned that a tree in her yard got split in half by the wind Friday night.
Patty and I went over and saw that her bradford pear (A lousy VERY prone to wind damage) tree had been broken in two and the whole thing would need to be cut down.
I took a long chopper and set to work on the smaller limbs. About an hour later a guy came by and saw all three of us cutting and hauling off limbs to burn in her back yard. He had a chainsaw and cut it up for us. THEN we borrowed a 16ft trailer from the preacher and hauled off two BIG loads to a burn pile the city said we could dump them at.
All in all we worked for 5 hours. Picking up, loading on the trailer, UNLOADING at the burn pile and repeat.
I have sore places where I didn't even know I had places!
