Barry is doing everything he can get away with, trying to bring down our country.

We live about 30 minutes from the Parkway as it crosses NC 181 near Linville Falls. It's a beautiful drive no matter which section you're on.

Sounds like a great area to film a movie!

Good afternoon Yard.

Well we ran out of time. We only made it to Mt Pisgah before we had to turn around and come back. BUT on the way up to New found Gap we saw a mamma bear and 2 cubs next to the road eating. They were only about 30 feet from a pull over. AND on the way back we saw 2 elk feeding near another pull over! GREAT day all around.

Just finished cleaning up after supper. And now we get to start packing up.

WE MADE IT BACK! Vacation was grand, Don't know how it could have been better.

We saw a total of 27 Black bear, two of the were Mommy bears with two cubs each. One set climbed a tree and two of the others were in trees. AND we saw a total of 24 elk! Numerous turkey and that was it for the critters.

Scenery, was well, I can't find words to explain how beautiful and breathtaking it was. I think we are going to try and go back again this fall maybe.

We started out back this way this morning at 0730 and finally pulled into the driveway at 1700 (all times CDT). While we were gone we drove a grand total of 1965 miles. !e drove 1025 miles just while we were out there. Yes, we kept busy.

Well Dogs, it's been a LONG day. I'm gonna hit the sack and see what tomorrow brings.
