I'm pretty sure these death chats are what killed the database in the first place. Perhaps this one should be locked by an admin and a new one started fresh?

I'd definitely be curious to know what went on. The loss of 3 years of posts is not a good sign... Seems like a "where was our last good backup, uhoh..." situation...

As to the DB with the death chats, no idea on the size but I know that mysql can certainly handle quite the size.

I'm more suspecting a lower level issue resulting in some type of corruption that in turn necessitated the restoration of an ancient backup.

Well, now we know what it takes to get him back to posting on the forum. LOL

I believe Chris keeps an eye on the forum, but he doesn't always feel like chatting. I have done the same thing at times.

We're under another tornado watch, but even the National
Weather Service is calling this a PDS...particularly dangerous system. We will unplug our computer and phone until after the system has passed....likely some time tomorrow.

So far...so good for us. However, the little town of Golden City, about ten miles South of us, had three people killed.

It's not over yet... tomorrow is supposed to be bad as well.
