I haven’t been in a Golden Corral in years. Are they still good?

Don't know about still Ray, but the one we have had here for about 2 years now ain't all that bad. Lot of different stuff to pick from.

I sent a certain Arachnid knife company an email last night asking if they could identify a knife for me that Patty bought me way back in 1999. They emailed me back asking if I could send a Pic. I did and about an hour later they not only identified the knife for me but sent me a "Sheet" on it!

Turns out it was only made in 1999-2000 and is a Mini Police Necklace knife, and yes mine has the serrated blade. Here's a link. Hope Y'all like it.

Needless to say it is my most prized Spiderco knife.

Now If Dan would just come out with a folder...

We got the car done while we were at the Golden Corral; we ate BIG! We were so full that we came straight home instead of doing some shopping.

Ray, the Golden Corral in Joplin is very good!

Believe it or not, we try and stay away from buffets now. It is WAY to easy to over eat. I have now gone from 268 in May to 241 this morning. I don't want to go back up and try and watch what and how much I eat.

Thanks Tom. I really do like it. It's small, but feels good and actually will get most jobs done that I need doing now. But just in case I do carry something a tad bigger as well.

I'm still a little in shock; I received a call from an old high-school friend who enlisted in the Marines and went to VietNam about six months before me. He has ALS..."Lou Gehrig's disease", and is in a Veterans' Home. Apparently it was triggered by either schrapnel still in him or Agent Orange. He said he has about six months to a year to live.

I'm going to visit him this afternoon. Bummer!

Oh Man Tom. That IS bad. So many bad things came out of Vietnam and all you guys that were there were UNfairly treated when you got back. Yes, it was a lousy war, but nevertheless all of you that were there should have been treated as Patriots at least upon your return.

I for one do thank you for what you did and think you deserve all the good things you have fought long and hard to get.
