Josh, If you like Spyderco knives check out their "Affordable folder" line. Made of 8Cr13MoV steel, but really good serviceable knives. One is the persistence at 2.7 inches, and another one, really neat to "Play with" is the CAT. 2.44 inch blade. The ambitious at 2.24 inchs, The Chicago at 2.1 inches (wouldn't Barry Be proud). The CAT is a little more pricy, but still under 100 bucks and it is made with BD1 Steel.

Dang it man, you would a thought that since the Great Hillary of Babylon left things would have gotten better. If I would have ever gotten sentenced to the D.C. area or around Andrews I would have probably have to have gone AWOL. Either that or I would have probably gone to the big house. I don't suffer Idiots well, especially those that don't realize they are.

I think I have the Persistence. Solid little blade. Also have the Chicago in S30V with carbon fiber scales. Both nice.

I guess I have some "Splanin" to do, so here goes.

As you know I have been talking up Spyderco folders, specifically the "Military" series as I call them. Meaning the Military or "Millie", the Paramilitary 2 or PM2 and the Para 3. The PM2 and Para 3 are really really nice blades (don't got the Millie yet, due here Monday. And seeing as it is at the UPS terminal just 25 miles away I have no doubt I will have it, possibly before Noon Monday). Anywho, to me the PM2 is the PERFECT fit for my not quite as chubby hands (I've lost 31.5 pounds now since I retired). It just feels so good to hold and "Flick" open. The Para 3 is a smaller version, sort of but not exactly, that also fits well and is a great, at least for me edc blade, reserving the PM2 as a backup role for a nice 9mm, 40s&w or 45, depending on my mood. They are so thin and light that they just seem to disappear in my pockets and I have become enamored with the feel and look of them. Sal Glesser did good. Next post for the emersons.
