Haha, we have had more fun out of your Avatar and squirrel pic postings over the years. You have been a BIG good part of the forum. Glad you've started posting again.

I hear ya! Never owned a Glock, probably never will... Except maybe a 20 chambered in 10mm grin the unique caliber offsets the Glock-factor wink

Just out of curiosity how long does it take you to drive to work. The longest I ever had was about 30 minutes. I lived 12 or 15 miles from the office. It wasn't to bad on swing and midnight shifts, but man the day shift was murder. Of course I was at Pope AFB at the time and it was right next to Ft Bragg. The Army had A LOT of folks stationed there. I understand now that Pope has been turned over to the Army but is still manned (at least in part) by Air Force folks.

I have had two Glocks. First one was a Model 19 compact 9mm and I really liked it. But alas, one of the guys on the Drug Task Force was needing a gun quickly so... The other was a Model 17 that was the duty of a weapon of one of my home town cops. Sadly he died and I got if from his widow. I finally sold it off about 12 years later to a new kid that needed a gun and wanted a 9mm Glock. I think he still has it and that was about 6 years ago.

Daughter was in the hospital today after her younger sister jumped on her neck on the trampoline. Elder daughter said she felt and heard a "POP" and then just hurt. ER said it's just whiplash but should follow up with a spinal doc to be safe.

Kids. Life happens. Glade to hear that supposedly it isn't any thing really bad. It could have been life changing.

I have a hard time getting rid of guns. If they fit, I want my kids to be able to have them someday (assuming they want them) smile

That's kinda like what happened to me In Hawaii back in '87. I was on a boogie board having the time of my life on about a 4-5 foot wave when in less than a second it fizzled out and I did a header directly in to the sandy bottom. Couldn't turn my neck very far to the left for over a year. I think I might have actually damaged something but never had it checked out, dumb on my part.

Oh and the reason I asked about your drive time is because My folks and I visited D.C. way back in the early to mid '70s and the traffic was a mad house then. I can only imagine how it is now.

To answer your earlier question, Randy, it takes about an hour each way. Traffic can add another 20-90 minutes. Longest commute to work room nearly 5 hours. Longest commute home was 8.5 hours. Of course, those were in snow storms grin
