Happy Sunday!

Whew! We had the grandson yesterday afternoon and all night. Dad came and got him about 10:30. He was in rare Ben form. Had all 3 of us (Patty, Me, and little bella the bear dog) all in a twitter. He is enjoyable, but for us old folks it's nice when he goes back home so we can recuperate.

Hello Ray. Hope things are going well for you and yours. As for us we are just setting around enjoying the day as I drink a refreshing cup of Folgers finest freeze dried.

We just picked a bag full of tomatoes, a couple of cucumbers, and some green beans. Fresh veggies with pork chops tonight!

Only thing I've been able to grow lately is got peppers in pots and finally got the rhubarb harvestable this year. There's asparagus growing, but I doubt it will ever get big enough to eat. The strawberries and blueberries I planted never get berries. The garlic died. We'll see about the horseradish.

I've given up on tomatoes, cucumbers, beans or anything else. I need stuff I can fire and forget

You can keep you cucumbers. Also your Peppers. Don't get me wrong, I like peppers cooked in foods but the only good cucumber is a Dill Pickle.

Hey DT, have you ever tried canning Deer meat?
